This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful fundraising team at the National Gallery. Its Trusts and Individual Giving Team plays a vital role raising support for the Gallery, which in turn helps to maintain and enhance the Gallery`s world-class collection for the benefit of visitors from the UK and overseas.
As the Development Officer -Trusts and Major Gifts, you will be providing support to the Development Managers - Major Gifts, and the Development Manager - Trusts and Foundations, across their whole portfolio of tasks and activities relating to fundraising from Trusts, Foundations and Major Donors.
The role will involve drafting, formatting and designing reports and proposals for Trust and Foundations and individual supporters and prospects; building case for support documents including exhibition proposals and reports, and building a focused portfolio of Trusts and Foundations from which to secure funding for the Gallery. You will play a key role within the Trusts and Individual Giving team.
You will need experience of fundraising from trusts and/or individuals, or experience of relationship management, with strong skills in writing and experience of managing multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal, communication and administration skills will be essential, together with a high level of computer literacy and knowledge of a database system.
