Context and purpose:

This role is all about the user experience across all of Three's online touchpoints, including e-commerce, account management and support experiences across web, mobile and apps.

The objective of the role is to design and produce the best possible online experiences for all users, both customers and non-customers, to ensure maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.


Scope:

You will work with the business to design and develop robust user journeys and user experiences which support the company's objectives and brand principles, as well as deliver on the customers expectations of being simple and usable.

You will understand both business and user goals (and as appropriate helping to define and refine), and use this knowledge to tailor solutions.

You will use a range of inputs, including insight and analysis, personas, customer feedback and business requirements to design and develop informed and logical user journey and user interface solutions.

You will communicate these designs to those both inside and outside the team using a range of methods as appropriate for the audience. You will be the voice of the customer and represent the importance of user-centered design across the business.

You will understand technical considerations with the assistance of the Development Lead and, as required, with internal clients/or third party partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing user journeys and user experiences across all of Three's digital touchpoints, including e-commerce, account management and support experiences across web, mobile and apps.

  • Responsible for contributing to user experience principles and guidelines for all of Three's online experiences.

  • Represent and own the 'User Experience' and be the voice of the customer across the company.

  • Clearly and concisely present various stages of interface design development to business owners, team members and other stakeholders.

Knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in user experience, information architecture or interactive media design within a recognised agency or corporate/ecommerce environment (preferably within a creative team).

  • Experience with and a passion for user-centered design.

  • High level of creativity and problem solving skills.

  • Experience with testing and analysis of users in order to gain insight and inform design.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and user advocacy skills.

  • Ability to research, understand and organise specialised content.

  • Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Microsoft Visio, Omnigraffle, Axure, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, HTML, Dreamweaver.

  • Visualisation skills (Photoshop, Illustrator etc).

  • Knowledge and understanding of back-end development processes and systems.
