This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful fundraising team at The National Gallery, the second most visited attraction in the UK. The Trusts and Individual Giving Team within the Development Department plays a vital role in raising support for the Gallery, helping to maintain and enhance the Gallery`s world-class collection for the benefit of visitors from the UK and overseas.

As Legacy and Appeals Manager, you will play a key role within the team, with responsibility for developing and managing the Gallery`s legacy and lower-level fundraising activities including maximising philanthropic income from our 6 million visitors each year. You will work closely with the Head of Trusts and Individual Giving, developing strategies for attracting valuable funding for the Gallery from donation boxes and other sources of in-gallery giving, regular donors, appeals, and gifts in wills.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a fundraising environment, preferably with direct experience of legacy or appeal fundraising. We are seeking a creative, strategic person who can write compelling fundraising copy and manage large mailings. Excellent project management skills are essential as is the confidence to communicate directly with donors and senior staff. You must be highly organised and have experience of working with complex relationship management systems and data sets.
